About
Vtoku Studio

VToku empowers creators with world-class production tools and community-driven support; helping them tell their stories freely, grow sustainably, and keep Hawaiʻi creativity thriving.

Why We Started VToku

VToku began with a simple problem. Talented creators had ideas, but the tools, space, and support systems around them were expensive, confusing, or located far from Hawaiʻi. Many projects stalled not because of lack of effort, but because access to production resources was limited.

We built VToku to lower those barriers. Our focus is practical support, clear guidance, and training that helps creators actually finish things they care about. We work with students, independent artists, companies, and community partners to develop projects in virtual production, motion capture, and interactive media.

Our goal is steady growth for creators, not shortcuts. We care about keeping creative work in Hawaiʻi viable, so people do not feel they need to leave home to build careers in digital media.

Lani Kekahuna-Kalaukoa

CEO

Lani focuses on building partnerships, supporting creators, and guiding the overall direction of VToku. Her work centers on connecting technology with real people and real projects, and making sure creators feel supported through the entire process rather than left to figure it out alone.

Her background includes talent management, virtual events, production planning, and community building in online creator spaces. At VToku, she works directly with partners, clients, and team members to keep projects aligned with the company’s values and long-term goals.

Jesse Thompson

CTO

Jesse leads the technical side of VToku, including virtual production systems, motion capture pipelines, and custom software workflows. His focus is on building reliable tools and processes so creators can concentrate on performance and storytelling rather than troubleshooting technology.

He has experience in medical visualization, simulation, and real-time graphics, and brings that technical foundation into creator-focused production environments. At VToku, he designs and maintains the studio’s technical infrastructure and supports teams working in 3D and interactive media.

Our Timeline and Key Project for Us

Partnership with Entrepreneur’s Sandbox

This partnership provided a physical home for VToku’s studio operations. It allowed us to expand access to virtual production tools, host training and community projects, and collaborate with other creative organizations in Hawaiʻi.

idolEN 3D Concert & OshiSnap Launch

This milestone marked our first large-scale combination of virtual performance and in-person fan experience. It tested our production workflow, informed future event design, and helped shape how VToku supports creators at live conventions and online events.

VToku Founded

VToku was established to support creators working in virtual production and interactive media, with a focus on accessibility and community impact in Hawaiʻi.

Launch of Creative Space HI Studio

The studio launch created a centralized location for motion capture, recording, virtual sets, and project development. It continues to serve as a place where creators can learn, collaborate, and produce work using tools that are normally out of reach.
